In the bush, every day brings both beauty and unpredictability. While our work is deeply rewarding, it also comes with real challenges — and that’s why preparation is never optional. It’s essential.
Recently, our ground staff and Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) team successfully completed their Level 1 First Aid training. This milestone is more than just a certification; it’s a vital step in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both our team and the guests who spend time with us in the field.
We extend our sincere thanks to Xavier for leading the training and equipping our team with these critical, life-saving skills.
As Demi so thoughtfully shared:
“It’s amazing how something as simple as knowing how to apply a bandage can make all the difference in an emergency. Life in the bush is beautiful, but it does come with its challenges — and being prepared is part of how we care for one another.”
That sentiment lies at the heart of everything we do. Whether responding to a medical situation, navigating the demands of the environment, or standing on the frontlines of rhino protection, our team needs to be ready at all times.
Ongoing training plays a crucial role in this. From first aid to anti-poaching preparedness, every skill learned strengthens our ability to act quickly, effectively, and responsibly when it matters most. It ensures that we can protect not only the incredible wildlife in our care, but also each other.
How You Can Help
Training like this is only possible through continued support. If you would like to contribute to the development and readiness of our rangers and APU team, we invite you to support Insimbi Legacy Projects.
Your contribution helps us:
