On 28 September, the spirit of conservation, community, and purpose came together at Rietvlei Dam, where Kyndryl hosted a charity run in collaboration with Insimbi Legacy Projects — all in support of protecting South Africa’s rhinos. 💚
Set against the natural beauty of Rietvlei, the day was filled with energy, determination, and a shared commitment to making a difference. Participants didn’t just run for fitness or fun — they ran with intention, knowing that every step taken contributed directly to the protection of one of our country’s most iconic and endangered species.
We are incredibly grateful to Kyndryl for choosing to stand alongside Insimbi in our mission. As a global leader that designs, builds, manages, and modernises the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day, Kyndryl plays a vital role in shaping the future. By supporting rhino conservation, they have extended that impact beyond technology — into the protection of our natural heritage.
Events like this remind us that conservation is a collective effort. From the organisers behind the scenes to every Kyndryl team member who showed up on the day, the enthusiasm and support were truly inspiring. Whether participants ran, jogged, or walked the route, each person played a role in helping secure a safer and brighter future for our crash.
The funds raised through this charity run go directly towards anti-poaching efforts and daily protection on the ground — ensuring that our rhinos are monitored, protected, and given the chance to thrive in a world where they remain under constant threat.
To every participant who took part, thank you. Your energy, commitment, and generosity make real, tangible conservation possible. Together, we are proving that when people unite behind a cause, meaningful change can happen.
We weren’t just running on the day — we were running for a cause that truly matters. For the protection of our rhinos. For their future. For their legacy. 🦏💚
