At Insimbi, we are constantly reminded that conservation is not something we can do alone. It is built on partnership, shared purpose, and people who are willing to step in and make a difference.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ubuntu Resor for joining us for a Rhino Guardian Experience and for sponsoring the collaring of two of our rhino, Jack and Grace.
Travelling all the way from Sweden, your support made a tangible impact on the ground. The collaring process was successful, and we are happy to share that both rhino are doing well. These collars play a vital role in monitoring and protecting them, strengthening the work of our APU and the safety of our crash.
Expertise on the Ground
A special thank you goes to Dr Johan Marais from Saving The Survivors. His expertise, professionalism, and the care with which he handled our rhino ensured that the procedures were carried out safely and successfully. Work like this requires precision, experience, and a deep respect for the animals — all of which were evident throughout.
A Shared Experience
To every guest who joined us — thank you for choosing to stand with conservation. Your presence on the ground, your willingness to learn, and your support mean more than words can express.
A special word of appreciation to Pär Öthander for organising the visit and bringing together such a passionate and committed group.
The Team Behind the Experience
Experiences like this are made possible by a collective effort, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a role:
- Bahiti for the use of their vehicle and their continued generosity
- Dave for the insightful Wildlife Crime Talk
- Paul for facilitating the programme
- Chane from Boskind Photography for assisting in capturing these special moments
- Michelle Hurley for offering flights to our guests and matching their flight time for aerial support
- Our dedicated APU and team on the ground
- All lodge staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes
What Conservation Really Looks Like
This is what conservation looks like — partnership, commitment, and people who care enough to act. From the planning stages to the final moments on the ground, every contribution played a role in strengthening the protection of our rhino.
To Ubuntu Resor and everyone involved: thank you for standing with us, and for standing with our rhino.
