Dehorning helps to deter poachers as the risk factor to poach these rhino is just too high and the payout is just too low.
Dehorning was done efficiently and professionally by amazing veterinarians.
A owner does not want to see their animal with out it’s prized horn, but they will do what they can to make it as difficult as possible for a poacher.
We also collared rhino while doing the procedure. A collared rhino is much easier to find in the dense African bush. We thank the Soekoe family for their wonderful donation of the collars.
